england is so nice right now! ah, it's been so refreshing being here. my roommate amanda is so nice, my flatmates derek, mike, joe, sarah and stacie are a lot of fun to hang out with. right now we're just sitting around relaxing. i only have one class each day so i've got time to kill. today i didn't do much, i went around with liz and joe getting groceries and then i came home and knitted and put some pictures online.
yesterday we went to greenwich, which was absolutely beautiful. we took a boat around the thames and saw big ben and parliament and the london eye (which i can't go on til the 21st because it's closed for construction). greenwich looked like a little french town and we went to the market before heading through a giant, green, lovely park. i'm not sure what it was called though. after walking all through the park we headed up to the royal obervatory. i stood on the prime meridian and was in both hemispheres at once! then we went down to the maritime museum. i got to see relics from the titanic and other pirate-related memorabilia. to get home we had to walk through a passageway running under the thames and then take the tube home.
last night was great because we got to hang out with our teacher/r.a. jenny at the printworks, the local pub we've been going to a lot. it was a lot of fun and i danced and got exhausted and came home and sang with jenny for a while before passing out.
things have been very nice so far and right now my suitmates and i are trying to figure out if we're going to scotland or not this weekend. i vote yes and i can't wait til i get out and see different places and travel all around.
