my last days at uconn were strange and not very fun at all- we got a blizzard, i was in a weird mood the whole time, i still am, etc. things will be better though. i'm sure of it. for now i'm trying to take my mind of my mind by seeing the golden compass, which i'm terribly excited about. i think i blew a fuse in my brain studying for history yesterday. i miss ashley and annie and the rest of the people i know i won't see for a very long time already, i don't even want to think about it. i leave for london so awfully soon and i'm still a little scared. but for the sake of information sharing, and perhaps trying to calm myself down about it a little, here's the itinerary i just had emailed to me. i can't breathe.

I'll meet you at Heathrow, where you'll arrive on Monday 7 January 2008 at 9:25 am. We'll
take you by bus to your new flats on the edge of Clerkenwell, a really terrific part of London.
We'll have a group lunch, and maybe take a short walk. Then give you most of the evening to
catch up on your sleep.
On Tuesday 8 January we'll divide into groups, and Jen and I will show you around your new
neighborhood. We'll have a short (2 hour) introductory class for those enrolled in Creative
Writing Workshop, which will normally be held Tuesdays 12-3pm. Then we'll have a group
faculty/student dinner nearby.
On Wednesday, your semester begins! (Sorry, but you'll hardly have time to catch your breath.) You'll have orientation at City University from 10 - 2pm. Then there will be a short
introductory class for Modern Drama (2:30-4pm). Then you have the rest of the day to
yourselves.
Thursday 10 January, the History of London course - the one required by all of you to attend -
will be held at City U 1-4pm. And in the evening, we'll take the entire program to a Christmas
panto. (No, don't ask. We'll show you.)
I'll have a more detailed, long range itinerary for you when we have dinner on 8 January. For
now, I just want you to see what your first few days will be like. The weekend should provide
time for you to catch up; and we'll take a day trip to Greenwich on Saturday.
