sew up the bad that you done

with christmas eve upon us i feel i should pause and reflect on this year. in summary, it was terrible, and i can't wait to put it behind me- starting with tomorrow. because no one will read this until at least tomorrow afternoon, here is what i got everyone:
mom: i knitted a rainbow scarf
dad: a man without a country by kurt vonnegut
rachel: a daily ireland calendar
zoe: post secret by i don't know who
kiri: fun scarf
maggie: fun necklace
tommy: classified

i am too poor to buy anything else so i hope everyone enjoys their borders-purchased gifts (scarf not included). anyway, christmas is supposed to be a magical time, although i can't seem to bring myself to actually say "christmas" aloud and have only said "xmas" when i talk about it. blame it on futurama.

here's to the end of 2007, the start of a year that includes my favorite number (8), the year that will hopefully bring with it new luck, a good trip to europe, the health and safety of my family while i'm gone and while i'm not gone, happiness, fortune, fame, etc, etc. anything- anything other than bad luck. good riddance to this year and all it's misfortune- i'm ready for the future to change everything. so, just for christmas, here's a special holiday playlist with links included where i can find them.
