one of these mornings i'm going away

i wrote a song for panda bear to commemorate our friendship, as i'm growing increasingly wary of leaving her and maggie behind here while i go off to england. this is a friendship appreciation type-song, not to be interpreted in a weird or creepy way, and i showed it to her and i think she liked it so i've now only got to record it. here it is written out- enjoy, and remember that best friends, next to family, are some of the most important people in the world.

when i was so low that i couldn't stand
on panda's bed i was feeling near dead
she came in and held me and told me to breathe
you'll be okay, there is no need to grieve

and panda bear told me i'd never be alone
whenever i'm sad she will always come home
back from new york where i left her to fight
for herself but she's strong i know she'll be alright

but i want to thank her for being so good
such a best friend who listened when no one else would
she held me while i cried and i did the same
and i love her for it, she makes me feel sane

you know i'll come home if you need me anytime
