greener pastures in the sky

midnight breakfast was tonight and once again i got a balloon animal of a bear hugging a heart (it looks awesome, as usual). boston this weekend was sweet, except for hall and oates. let me explain. see, they decided not to tell anyone it was a christmas concert, so after the first hour and a half of christmas songs, people started to get angry. they were yelling out song names and booing and leaving the theater- i was afraid there might be an actual riot. daryll hall was talking so much inbetween songs that someone yelled, "let oates talk!" it could have ended right there, but instead, it was just incredibly awkward for everyone as hall stood over his keyboard and said to the screaming crowd, "i was a teacher. i can wait." at last when everyone stopped yelling, they played "o holy night," before launching into a 7-minute "songs i don't know" medley and then closing the show with the only two songs of theirs i know. excellent.

a lymph node in my jaw is swollen; midnight breakfast is the best idea in the world; i am consciously choosing to avoid awkwardness, confrontation, and inclusion in any sort of conflict from now on; i am choosing not to study for my problem solving final; i can't believe i didn't realize the president of the fucking school mike hogan was serving me eggs at midnight breakfast and when he asked how my studying was going i said "oh i haven't done any." awkwardawkwardawkward. but really what are the chances that he'll remember my face in a year (or two) and refuse to give me a diploma? according to uconn statistics, 1 in 16,000.

p.s. i may or may not appear dancing in this, as it appears these people were sitting right near us. yacht rock for life.
