although i feel bad for not going to astronomy this week i can't help but enjoy having slept in. today was relaxing and cold and slow, i had my second problem solving exam a couple of hours ago. this time we were tested on the "interpersonal" chapter, which is completely impossible to study for. example: "If you invest in listening carefully to someone else, he is much more likely to listen to you, and the problem is much more likely to be solved." (p. 78-79). first of all, not true. second of all, isn't this math class? get out of my personal life, school. none of your business how i "solve problems" in real life. also, my professor dressed up as a star trek character for halloween. just throwing that out there.
but that was my thursday. i'm going home in a little while to hang out with rachel and sit by my fireplace, finally. it's been too long that i've been waiting for something good to happen at school this semester, and nothing has come forward. i look around and all i see are people obsessing over facebook and being drunk and it all seems so bizarre. it seems like people are all satisfied with being acquaintances with one another; it is times like this when i miss my friends the most.
anyway, enough talkin about that. it's time to pack some things up and head to I-84 so i can start traveling the long road home. i'm really excited about seeing the microphones tomorrow night, even more excited to sleep in my own bed. one week til thanksgiving break! i've been thinkin about having a goodbye party before the semester's over to say bye to some of my friends here, but i haven't decided if i should or if it'll just make me feel worse. someone provide some insight, prease. i can't make up my mind on this at all.
